It Feels so Right (2:11)

“It Feels So Right,” recorded in 1960 at Nashville’s RCA Studios, one of the first true stereo recordings RCA produced, features Scotty Moore on guitar, D.J. Fontana on bass, and Floyd Cramer on piano. Only Bill Black from Elvis’s original Sun Records session artists does not play on this session. The Jordanaires sang backup. RCA’s upgraded facilities included a new three-track tape deck allowing more separation of instruments and stereo quality. On the early takes, you can hear Chet Atkins questioning Floyd Cramer on his chord changes, while Elvis waits patiently to begin. Elvis achieves near perfection on the challenging vocal in one shot.
