    'Oh everybody's dying just to get the disease' This actually meant a few things to me, I thought he was complaining that creative greatness (musically, whatever) goes with the shitty moods and stuff, so people are dying to get the disease he's got. Too- existentially, if you consider that people die by living or existing, they only get born to then get a damn disease it's a crappy hand to be dealt. They 'die' (live) just to get a disease. Kind of a wasted life. Whew, that was long, just thought someone might be interested in my take on this epic song. RIP Elliott
