Saw the band live in Bilbao (Basque Country) last fall and they were really cool. The did a cool version of Neil Young's "Powderfinger" as well as lots of their own great material. They were also very nice guys to hang out with. I swapped a CD with them and have given "Ambassador" quite a few spins since then - a good album! Thumbs up to Elliott Brood!
Just found out about these guys a week ago, heard "Write it all Down for You" on a local station and loved it right away. Ordered the CD 2 days later. I don't usually listen to this type of stuff but I'm liking it...reminds me of Blind Melon's Soup (musically and vocally), and some vocal similarities with Jeremy Enigk of Sunny Day Real Estate too.
