The name is a tribute to the American electrical engineer who developed the “Musical Telegraph”, the first electric music synthesizer. Elisha Gray is an electronic band moving from dark ambient soundscapes to industrial beat dance grooves, influenced by Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Kraftwerk, Orbital, Depeche Mode and The Future Sound of London. In 2007, with the voice of Maria Messina, the group found its final configuration and started performing as a synthpop electroclash band too.
