Composer and double-bass player, born in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. His formal instruction began in the Jose Jacinto Cuevas Music Center. Nowadays he is studying for a degree on Music Composition at the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatan. Has been scholar for noted composers like: Javier Alvarez, Karlheinz Essl, Ake Parmerud, Mauricio Valdes, Juan Luis de Pablo and Leon Enriquez. His work comprises acoustic, electro-acoustic and mixed compositions. He has also take part on various festivals like the Instrumenta Contemporaneo 2008, premiering "Parvada" (for piano and electro-acoustic sounds); the Festival Internacional de Musica Contemporanea, done in the city of Morelia, Michoacan (premiering "Simbiosis", for flute, cello and electroacoustics); the Cha'ak'ab Paaxil Free Improvisation, Free Jazz & Noise Festival (made in Merida) as sub-director and guest musician and the Merida Festival. He's actually a full member of the Sirius Trio , an ensemble focused on spreading the improvisation and electroacoustic music in the Yucatan area.
