Biography

Eleven Hold is a Hungarian alternative band, their name could be translated as something like “Moon Alive”. Their first album (called “Eleven Hold”) came out in 2000. Their music is mainly a lighter form of grunge, what makes it unique is the use of violin, which gives it a very lyrique sense.

Vocalist Nap (“Sun”) (who also was the poetic songwriter and guitar player) left the band in May 2007.

The band’s official site is http://www.elevenhold.hu

Their side project was Wakended, where they played a more common, darker form of grunge.

Tracks are freely downloadable from http://wakended.elevenhold.hu

yes and i'd like to say that not for that but in my oppinion the name should have been translated Vivid Moon instead.

You see, Burislav, in hungarian the adjectice 'eleven' is something alive, vivid. It's comming from the word 'él' meaning 'to be'. 'Hold' is the name of 'Moon' in hungarian. That single thing of the name being similar in spelling to something in english proves that we hungarians are creative though nobody knows :-P.
