Biography
Eleven is a production team made up of Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider (died July 2, 2008). Their abilities extend beyond production, engineering and mixing to include songwriting, arrangement and orchestration.
Their band, Eleven, which includes drummer Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam) have recorded five critically-acclaimed albums which have won the respect and admiration of fellow musicians. They have toured extensively with Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Queens of the Stone Age, joining the latter as touring and recording members for the past 5 years.
Gifted musicians and songwriters, Alain and Natasha have performed, engineered and produced recordings for many artists. Some career highlights to date include:
› Chris Cornell - Alain and Natasha produced, engineered and mixed
Cornell’s debut album, “Euphoria Morning” They recorded the album
at their studio, 11AD, performing and arranging all of the tracks
as well as co-writing many of them.
› Queens of the Stone Age - Alain engineered several projects for this
band as well as co-wrote several songs on “Songs For The Deaf” and
Lullabies To Paralyze.” Alain and Natasha have also performed on
these albums.
› Eagles of Death Metal - “Peace, Love and Death Metal” and “Death By Sexy…”
recorded and mixed at 11AD.
› No Doubt - Alain began his relationship with No Doubt by engineering
“Return To Saturn.” Alain and Natasha also co-produced “Love To Love You Baby”

I don't understand why everyone tags this band as Alternative Rock. Their two best releases, Eleven and Thunk, are pure Blues Rock/Hard Rock. The other stuff that I've heard is basically Pop. There's no punk in their music at all, on any album.

I'm angry to see there are pictures of Bands / People that have nothing to do with the real Eleven... is there any way to report them? Gotta say, that "Strands of Rain" is just perfect... so sad the good ones like Natasha have to go :( ...

So a band member upped those misleading photos? Talk about shameless self-promotion - if this other Eleven actually had any exposure in last.fm, an outside listener would upload a pic of them sooner or later. Otherwise, just stick to your own websites and respect the last.fm artist pics of the bigger band! By the way, are the albums Awake in Dream or Thunk worth checking out? :)

I searched about 16 years for the song reach out. In the early 90`s i heard the song on headbangers ball. Since then the tunes where in my head. Last year i fortunately found it on youtube ! I also read about the death of Natasha. I `am very sad. She was a very talented woman and Alain to. Their music is really awesome. I love it !!! Why are they so unknown ? Can`t understand it !!! R.I.P. Natasha
