There are at least four artists with the name Elegy:

1. Elegy are a / band from the Netherlands. They formed in 1986.

2. Elegy were a supposedly German Krautrock Band which were actually from Britain but were pretty much based full-time in Austria. They released the single “No Direction / Pain” in early 1971 which was recorded at the studios of Peter Mueller, Vienna. The A-Side “No Direction” was compiled on “Kraut! Demons! Kraut! Vol. 1 German Psychedelic Underground 1968-1974”.

3. Elegy was the name of a band from Secunda, Mpumalanga, South Africa. They are now known as Riddare av Koden after changing their name due to copyright issues with the original Dutch band Elegy as mentioned above.

4. Elegy produced a series of minimal electronic EPs for the labels Likemind, ART and B12 in the mid-1990s.

Elegy is also the name of one of several music projects by well-known UK DJ/producer, Kirk Degiorgio. http://www.kirkdegiorgio.com

Also, Elegy is Daniel Mair AKA DJ Mension, a progressive psytrance artist from Italy.

Finaly, there’s a magazine named Elegy that releases compilation CD’s, mistagged with “Elegy” in the Artist’s name.

Everything was downhill after Henk left, but every album up to and including MoF is great, with State of Mind being a classic and probably the best melodic prog metal album ever recorded.

Manifestation Of Fear is their best one. Soapywater: Ian Parry joined in 1996 for the EP Primal Instinct.

True, sounds like noise (the genre I mean), though I've found it classified on emusic.com as avantgarde jazz.

Very underrated. And I'm 99% sure the free track is not the Power/Progressive band.

I feel like the last album (Principles of Pain) was way different from their others... much more progressive. And I'm guessing it's because the founder left the band before it.
