There are two artists that have used the name Electric Six
1. An alternative rock band from the United States
2. A musical group from South Africa

1. Electric Six is a six-piece Detroit-based band consisting of Dick Valentine (vocals), Tait Nucleus? (synthesizers), Johhny Na$hinal (guitar), Da Ve (guitar), Percussion World (drums), and Smorgasboard (bass) who play a mix of , and .

The band’s first notorious formation comprised Valentine, Rock and Roll Indian (guitar), Surge Joebot (guitar), Disco (bass, former member of Detroit Cobras), and M (drums). Dick Valentine (real name Tyler Spencer) has always been the primary songwriter (both music and lyrics) of Electric Six, currently and under their former incarnation, when they were known as the Wildbunch. During the band’s temporary split at the end of the 1990s, Spencer formed his own band called The Dirty Shame and released one CD entitled Smog Cutter Love Story which featured, among other tracks, a first version of Fire track “Vengeance and Fashion”. The band reformed by 2001 to record and release the first release of ‘Danger! High Voltage’ and record the track ‘Dealin’ With Death N’ Stealin’ In The Name Of The Lord’ with Troy Gregory for his Sybil album.

Electric Six fuses and with the laid-back funky rhythms and falsetto vocals of disco, and a distinctly comic touch. However, they tend to reject such genre classifications as disco-metal and .

It's a good new album. I think it takes longer to sink in because its songs are a bit more complex than previous released, theres allot going on there. Who could not enjoy the song 'gun rights'?

Musically it's top drawer - actually some of the best i've ever heard on an E6 album - but the lyrics and delivery are quite poor, more often than not. I like Gun Rights and I'm The Devil the most but they're flawed too. McGerkey down there gets it spot on the first time: "Might be their weakest yet, as much as I hate to admit it. Whatever though, they're allowed a dud or two." I'll still probably listen to it lots though!

It grows on me the more I listen to it. It's not as good as Mustang or Zodiac but it's solid. Just not a lot of catchy jams imo. My top songs are Satanic Wheels, I've Seen Rio in Flames and Who The Hell Just Call My Phone.

Nevermind, I really like it now. Still some weak spots and it's definitely too short, but oh well. I love this band.

Human Zoo is lots of fun, but there really are no songs quite up to the standards of their usual standouts D: (except call my phone)

Dick's a lyrical genius, hoping Human Zoo is a step in the right direction for the band.

Ласт, оказывается Electric Six абсолютно безвреден. Я употребляю его четыре месяца. Люто, бешено доставляет. Зависимости никакой. Рекомендую.

I didn't notice until recently at how ingeniously satirical Fire is. The lyrics sound stupid until you realize how deliberate they are. [2]
