Did you see your friend crying from his eyes today?
Did you see him run through the streets and far away?
Did you see him run? Did you see him fall?
Did his life flash by at the bedroom door?

American Hustle is okay as a movie, but the soundtrack is even better

This song is definitely one of my favorites by ELO. [2] Me, too. BTW, what is it actually about? I always thought it was about a guy who commits suicide because he caught his lover cheating on him. A friend of mine thought it was more about a dystopian society (why else would you refer to a person as a number?). Another friend of mine who was something of an ELO scholar claimed it wasn't about anything and Jeff Lynne just wrote bullshit lyrics because he felt he had to. *SHRUG*

Haha, I may be slightly guilty of being one of those people who brought up the listening trend after seeing American Hustle. [2] that movie was amazing

Did Paul Weller lift this riff for "The Changingman"?

Love the more earthy cello sounds on those early ELO albums....

Someone in the French horn section might have had a little trouble with their high note :)

Mesmeric offering from Jeff and for me, with the exception of the Silver Medal Beatle, the world's greatest melodist, fabulous array of enchanting songs over the years. a true pop great
