Electric Farmer

Uk, West Midlands based musician/producer Electric Farmer has a broad taste in music and tends not to write in a specific genre. You will hear influences from Trip-Hop, Psychedelic, Breakbeat, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Folktronica, the list goes on. Starting out in the local music scene as a lead/rhythm guitarist and vocalist for progressive metal group Tundra, Electric Farmer began experimenting with sequencing and production when after 6 years in the same band he decided he wanted to do his own thing.

The Big Chill festival of 2008 in Herefordshire, England, had a huge impact on his taste in electronic music. He fell in love with sequencing and production because it freed him creatively, he could now write whatever he wanted to write. So he’s now been producing for 3 years and incorporates his guitar and bass playing skills in electronic music. He doesn’t dj, and is more interested in performing live, and so is currently working on a live set, with Ableton, midi controllers and loopers. With so many different tastes in music, he never hesitates to cross genres and venture new territories, which makes it difficult to label his music specifically.
