Biography

Elbodo, hailing from Houston, Texas, originally formed as a 3 piece rock/punk outfit in 2003 by Rickie Redman along with Brandon and Doug Rowan. They began to craft an intense progressive sound unlike any heavy act on the scene. The addition of second guitarist Brian Bohannon two years later allowed the band to add more depth to their sound, freeing them to branch out into new sonic territory. With a heavy emphasis on technical hip-hopesque beats, they grew into a truly original, genre-bending group. All they lacked was a steady versatile vocalist. After much searching, it seemed that there was no hope in sight. When it became apparent that a random amazing vocalist would not just fall into their laps, Elbodo had some tough decisions to make. What followed was a complete restructuring of the band, in which 3 of the four members took on new roles and 3 additional members were added to the band. With the addition of Andrew Jeffries on guitar, Nik Paukert on drums, and Eric Moeller on bass, the members of the band were freed up to begin taking on vocal duties with the group. Now seven members strong, the band’s direction likewise evolved to a more mature sound, with an emphasis on seamless integration of genres. Today the band is stronger that ever with a new set of original music, pulling from a variety of influences including rock, folk, blues, jazz, dubstep, reggae, and funk.
