Elan Tamara is a singer/songwriter/instrumentalist and has been writing music since she was 14 years old. Elan Tamara first discovered a love for the piano when she was 8 and rekindled that love in her teenage years (also picking up the saxophone at 11 years old). She began writing instrumental pieces for the piano at around 14 years old, moving on to piano/vocal songs when she was 15/16 years old.
Once deciding a career in music is definitely what she wanted to do Elan Tamara applied and received a place at the BRIT School where she hoped to fulfill her musical potential (picking up knowledge of a few more instruments along the way). After this Elan felt it was time to push her music forward by revealing the songs she was writing behind the scenes (the last BRIT concert being the start of this). She is currently studying “world” music at SOAS having fallen in love with Balinese gamelan.
Elan Tamara will be releasing her debut EP, Gold Fishes on the 7th September. Produced by Kwes.
