The future looks bright for South London based unsigned recording artist Ejiro. At the tender age of just 22, he has already had over 5 years of experience behind the mic and shared the stage with some of Gospel’s biggest names such as, Israel Houghton,Delirious? Michael W. Smith and Graham Kendrick to name a few.
The Summer of 2008 saw the release of Ejiro’s first music video and debut EP “The Highs & Lows” (now available on iTunes), which he independantly sold over 1000 copies of within months of it’s release.
Though living in a day and age where many artists value the aesthetic qualities of a song more highly than its lyrical content , Ejiro has gone where few of his contemporaries have dared to tread. In March 2009, Ejiro showed himself not only to have found the all-important balance between content and sound but also to have his finger on the pulse of society, when he recorded a heart-fetching tribute song to the late Jade Goody (Ex-Big Brother star) entitiled “Dear Jade”, which he aimed to reach out to her and her loved ones in their time of need. As a bi-product of this evangelistic effort, Ejiro captivated the ears and hearts of many across the nation and wound up on the front cover of highly esteemed, net-based magazines such as ”Rapzilla.com”, “Streetbrand.com” and “Glam.com” (“Dear Jade” can still be found on YouTube).
Ejiro is currently at work on the release of his highly aticipated first single entitiled “Hollow”, off his debut album scheduled to be released in 2010.
