There are at least three bands that share the name Eibon.

1) Eibon is a French (Paris) / act featuring Drowning’s bass player Stephane and guitarist Georges on vocals, together with Jerome (drums), a former band mate of Stephane’s from his days in legendary pioneering French doom-metal band Garden of Silence. Jerome was also a member of doom veterans Astral Rising. The line-up is completed by long-time friend Max on guitars.

In summer ‘06, Eibon recorded 2 tracks for a split-CD released on extreme metal label Bones Brigade Records. The other band sharing the bill was Hangman’s Chair (former Es la Guerilla). The split-CD was released in March ‘07.

This first effort stated what Eibon were all about: somewhere between and Doom metal[/tag[, the music is based on progressive structures, alternating pounding heavy riffs, melodic moments and hell-unleashed passages.

In early 2009, Eibon released their first MCD on UK’s Aesthetic Death Records, and in 2010 they released the devastating full length “
Entering Darkness” on CD. Later, the album was re-released as a cassette version combining both “Entering Darkness”, and the 2009 self-titled EP on Media Tree Recordings in Canada.

2) Eibon is a black metal project formed by American and Norwegian extreme musicians from well known bands such as Pantera, Necrophagia, Darkthrone, Satyricon and Mayhem.
