5 Nov 2008, 01:09 by sablespecterAs I was away for a desert vacation these particular days, these were the songs I found to be particularly apt to what I was feeling or what we were seeing.
23 Oct 2008:
Motörhead / Leaving Here / On Parole (8) / Dec 1979
In the crazy world of rock & metal, this is another album with a strange release history. Actually their debut release recorded in the mid 70s but not released until December 1979, after both their self-titled "second debut" Motorhead and Overkill had put them on the map.
This particular track was an apt selection for two reasons. Not only did it feel good to be leaving, it's also a cover of a song by The Birds, which had originally been penned by the formidable Motown writing team of H-D-H (a/k/a Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, Eddie Holland). The upcoming week was also the week we covered all the Motown greats in class. Sorry I missed it, but at least I felt like I was doing a bit of prep work. I admit there is a lot of Motown's music that I like. I guess Lemmy would back me up on that...

Step 2: Put it on random.
Step 3: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarassing the song.
Step 4: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 5: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 6: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
