Ed Ames' voice is a perfect match for this song. I can't recall anyone else who could have performed this song so well, needing to be forceful and introspective in one song. I also miss the instrumental arrangement in this piece, sort of pre-rock with the pronounced drums; very experimental arrangement - harpsichord, vocal chorus, brass, gregorian chant-like at times. And the message still holds true today although the lyrics are a bit dated. Excellent work!
