There are 3 bands with the name East of Eden: a British progressive rock band, a German rock band and a Christian progressive hardcore band from New Zealand.

* A British progressive rock band that formed in the late 1960s to the early 1970s, and who still release the occasional album. Began as a heavy psychedelic band with a strong eastern influence before exploring more jazz/rock territory, then settled into more a mainstream country rock mode. Violinist Dave Arbus played on The Who’s song “Baba O’Riley”. According to the Jig A Jig Songfacts, Jig a Jig was their only hit single in the UK.

* A rock band from Chemnitz, Germany.

* East of Eden are a Progressive Hardcore project inspired by bands such as Misery Signals, Burden of a Day and The Devil Wears Prada, formed in 2009. http://eastofedennz.bandcamp.com/
