Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray form Earlimart, an indie rock singer/songwriter duo based out of Los Angeles, CA. The punk rock style that could be heard in the band's earlier albums quickly transgressed into dreamy Lo-Fi compositions on Avenues EP. Espinoza's hushed vocals bears heavy resemblance Elliott Smith who also worked with and was a personal friend of the band's. In response to the sudden death of Smith, Earlimart's composed the 2004 album, Treble & Tremble as tribute album to the late artist. Their indie pop sound can also be compared artists like Grandaddy, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Stars, Matt Pond PA
