Hangzhou, China (2012 – present)

There are two artists who have used the name Durian:

[1] - Durian grabs dub music by the hand and swings it into psyschadelia and funk. Durian was formed in Hangzhou at the China Academy of Art in 2012, by vocalistDaniel Sebastian, guiatrist Willem Vanommeslaeghe, and drummer Adam Brillhart. Presently, the band consists of members from Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Malawi, and the United States. Durian has performed in the midst of the rising wave of Chinese experimental music at festivals throughout China, with bands such as Carsick Cars, Philco Fiction, and Shan Ren (山人乐队).

[2] - Washington, D.C.’s combo Durian formed in 1997 and began gigging and recording almost immediately, self-releasing their debut album Tomorrow 6:30 later that year. Throughout the rest of the ’90s, the quintet — which consists of vocalist Matt Hermann, guitarists Kevin Adams and Frank Stewart, bassist/vocalist Cameron Whitman, and drummer Jason Merriman, later replaced by Derek Fricano — toured with bands like The Dismemberment Plan, The Wicked Farleys, and Sweep the Leg Johnny, and recorded consistently, teaming up with J. Robbins as their producer for 1998’s Goodwill/Dogtrack seven-inch, a song that appeared on the 1999 compilation On Law of Inertia and 2000’s second full-length, Sometimes You Scare Me.

why does this band have this profile pic and tagged as korean seeing as they're from DC?! their album is really good, so why is this profile so devoid of life? i understand they are no longer...but what is this profile all about, whats going on?!
