It is funny though, when you consider the debut singles of the gold selling mid eighties bands that came out of the New Romantic movement, Duran, Spandau and Culture Club. This is basically a Disco track, Do You Really want to Hurt Me, was Reggae inspired, and ok Chant No.1 wasn't Spandau's first, but it was Funky. Nothing to suggest that the New Romantics were a movement with the same musical leanings. I suppose that doesn't matter anyway?

"Classic. The only song I ever liked by these posers. Still, it's a fantastic song." Posers? I don't see how they would be posers. As far as I know, poser means to be pretend you're something you're not, but surely the argument must be *less* valid concerning DD than any other band of their "kind"? Look at most of them, they've switched to industrial, metal, ambient, etc. over the years, while DD were lighthearted pop and remain lighthearted pop.

Great band.Often overlooked as a bunch of manufactured pretty boys but behind the looks they were a solid band
