It is hard to write about Duet Riton. Why, you’d ask? They are public, facts are clear. It is easy, but only in the beginning. The hard part comes when a man tries to explain a Cultural Institution which they have been since their first appearance in the public life of Bulgaria.
Bulgarians from several generations grew up,loved, were good, smily and shiny, critical, stylish, IN LOVE, just like them, Bulgaria’s favourites, Katya and Zdravko, receiving the positive thoughts from their songs and the endless kindness of their charisma. The goodness, waving from their songs, feels like magic to the public and people just can’t stop loving them. It is significant, that the duet is being worshiped by small kids as well as by elder people. This is another proof that love accumulates love. I also can’t ignore the contemporary and up to date lyrics of their songs. All those years, they never dared to produce a banal text, or a bad sound, inartistic costumes, unresponsible behaviour, arogancy or anythig else. On every stage, even in the small villages, they worked with the same glamour and passion as on the prestigeous and famous stages. Maybe for that reason, people love and trust them. Every one of their fans knows that each concert brings a maximum amount of optimism, delicate satire, lovely luscious music and lyrics, rich in bulgarian spirit.
I never imagined that I could be able to tell everything about them in those lines, however, as one of their fans, I am convinced that my love is like the love of the rest of their fans, pure and endless, like the kindness of Katya and Zdravko.
