1) Created in 1993, Dub War were a four-piece band from Newport, South Wales, UK. The band offered an innovative mix of metal, punk, and ragga. Its members can be considered as the founders of a new genre, ragga metal, although most of their songs were from the alternative genre.

The Dub War experience was short-lived as the band split in 1999. This separation resulted from disputes with their label, Earache Records. Benji, Ginge and Jeff founded a new band, eventually known as Skindred (which Ginge and Jeff left in 2002). Jeff, Ginge and Richie now work together on a new project: Raw Bud.

They were the only crossover band worth listening to in the 90's. Skindred is kinda bland in comparison with the old material...bears too much resemblance to t3h n00-m3t4l. Benji is still great on the vocals though.
