Biography
Based in a shared two-bedroom house in Stratford, east London, the five came together via circuitous geographical and musical routes. Musically the back-history is no less varied, with the band citing an esoteric list of influences - Leonard Cohen, At the Drive-In, Neil Young, Arlo Guthrie, Neutral Milk Hotel , Bruce Springsteen and Devendra Banhart.
Their first single was issued by Transgressive Records in March 2011 after significant early radio support from BBC Introducing, including their 2010 Glastonbury appearance on the BBC Introducing stage…
Their subsequent run of UK festivals in 2011 included Glastonbury, Great Escape, iTunes Festival, Latitude, Lovebox, Hop Farm, Lounge on the Farm, Belladrum, Wilderness, Summer Sundae, Green Man, Reading and Leeds, End of the Road and Bestival etc and also many of the key festivals across europe.
They’ve recorded their album in the Bridgeport, CT with Peter Katis (Interpol, Jónsi, The National) which is released via RCA on March 5th 2012 ‘Shallow Bed’
