  • Dry the River played their dynamic music for The Horseshoe Tavern audience in Toronto. I took pics: http://www.oneintenwords.com/2014/12/dry-river-at-horseshoe.html. Nathaniel Rateliff opened: http://www.oneintenwords.com/2014/11/nathaniel-rateliff-at-horseshoe.html along with Andrew Austin: http://www.oneintenwords.com/2014/11/andrew-austin-at-horseshoe.html

  • Great gig at Oxford tonight :)
  • I think Everlasting Light is good as a single, at least for the radio i'ts better than Gethsemane, the lyrics and rhythm are very easy to remember and well, it gets stuck in the head! Maybe Roman Candle would be a good single too, but it's not as "lively" as Everlasting Light. So it seems like a good song for the radio, but not a song that would speak for the album :/
  • it has its merits, actually. they just become much more obvious once you stop expecting anything remotely "Shallow Bed"-ish. the only thing I still don't understand is why "Everlasting Light" was chosen as a single... not that it's a particularly bad song, it just isn't all that special (the video is pretty great though :D).
  • new album is one of the biggest disappointment this year. what a bummer :(
  • Great band! :)
  • to everyone who isn't already on the DtR mailing list: you can get the free track "New Cross" here - http://www.transgressiverecords.com/news/detail/transgressive-10-day-8-dry-the-river-new-cross - and it's just as good as the album tracks, possibly even better :)
  • New record is really good. It hasn't grabbed me like Shallow Bed did but it's still a really excellent record.
