Drudkh, meaning “wood” in Sanskrit, is an atmospheric black metal band from Kharkiv, Ukraine formed in 2002 by Roman Saenko, the leading member of Hate Forest; Thurios, the leading member of Astrofaes; and Yuriy Sinitsky, of Lucifugum and Definition Sane. Their strongly folk-influenced music focuses on a strong atmosphere with a lot of feeling, and the lyrical contents embrace Slavic mythology, seasons and poetry. Many of the band’s lyrics are derived from the works of nineteenth- and twentieth-century Ukrainian poets, especially Taras Shevchenko.

This is absolutely misleading and a total profanation, since there is nothing in DRUDKH’s music or lyrics that would suggest any political outlook. If you really want a CD quality version of the original mix I'll send it to you; I have the entire discography in FLAC minus the remaster of Autumn Aurora, which isn't out here yet, and the CD release of Anti-Urban, which was in that box set which was just too damn expensive for me as a somewhat poor American to buy.

The remastering of Forgotten Legends isn't terrible. It has too much volume compression but I'd still say to go for the remake, because apparently Supernal don't pay their artists well/at all, which is the whole reason Drudkh left.

However, Drudkh is originally a Sanskrit word, so I'm not entirely sure how much Ukrainian pronunciation has bearing on it. Then again they obviously Latinised it with kh rather than k for a reason.
