1) Driveshaft was a NWOBHM band formed in 1980 in Cork, Ireland. The band underwent many lineup changes and has featured many well known artists, such as Neil Murray (of Whitesnake, Gogmagog and Peter Gordelier of Marquis De Sade, Angel Witch, Blind Fury. The band’s official releases include two singles, and a live EP. Heartbreaker is perhaps their best known work. 2) Drive Shaft (sometimes written as Drive-Shaft or DriveSHAFT) is a fictional band featured in the American drama/adventure television series Lost, created by J.J. Abrams.

Drive shaft formed in Manchester and experienced explosive chart success after their song “You All Everybody” became a hit in both the UK and the US. The band members battled drug addiction, eventually leading them to go their separate ways. After a long hiatus, Drive Shaft decided to reunite, and open for Meat Coat in the United States. The former lead singer, Liam, who was now living in Australia with a family did not want to rejoin the band. On his way to Los Angeles to start the tour, Charlie’s flight (Oceanic Airlines Flight 815) crashed…

Charlie and his brother are based off the real life Liam & Noel Gallagher.
