Driven to Collision formed in Brighton, UK in 2002. Nigel Stringfellow (ex- pulaski swam / syrup - bassist) and Duncan Walters (vocals / guitars) had gigged under various guises (Sonatone, Slacker, The Method) before recruiting drummer Jan Alkema.
Jan previously drummed in Compulsion and then China Drum, latterly known as The Drum.
One of Slacker’s earlier drummers was Tom White (The Electric Soft Parade/Brakes). When ESP released their single Things I’ve Done Before in 2003 the B-side was a song called Summer’s Slow Meander, written by N and D in 1999. The bands still maintain links to the Brighton ‘scene’.

File under: alternative/hardcore/punk. The band appear stubbornly independent and underground.
The band’s first EP featured the tracks Invialism, S.S.V, Dusted and Surface Noise. It was followed up by their second and third eps continuing the band’s exploration of sound, real politik and emotional attitude.
Their gigs are brief, incendiary, and very loud! One fanzine described the D2C live experience as “…precision riffing, but slack as f**k!”.
The band continue to write rehearse and play live sets intermittently. Check their myspace for updates at www.myspace.com/drivento
