Trail of Tears is a song by the band Dream Theater from their fourth studio album, Falling into Infinity. The song consist of the three parts: I. It’s Raining - II. Deep in Heaven - III. The Wasteland. It total length of the song is 13:07. Trial of Tears was played live on the DVD/CD “Live at Budokan”. The lyrics were written by the band’s bassist, John Myung.

@Smurfuck: JM doesn't write many lyrics for the band because, and I quote an interview, "his lyrics usually need a lot of work and tweaking so that they fit the song" so Myung just backed off from writing them after a few songs.
