About This Track

6th track on Dream Theater’s 2003 album Train of Thought. It is an entirely instrumental track and in a lot of ways is alike to such tracks as Orion by Metallica.

The track was the inspiration for Trivium’s ‘The Crusade’ instrumental track on their album The Crusade.

The track was a basis in which was used to coordinate a song writing contest. The CD was put out as a fanclub CD known as Stream of Consciousness.

Stream of Consciousness was going to be the album title for what is now Dream Theater’s Falling into Infinity album.

This song is great. One of Dream Theaters few examples of finding balance between technicality and good songwriting [9]

I once stayed in a tiny, TINY shop for 10+ minutes just because they were playing this song. The people who worked there didn't mind though, even when I didn't buy anything

This is what my brain feels like when I am in thought and on a level that I feel no one understands me. This is in music form. Thank god for other artists who get it. Totally removes the loneliness out of it! Great song.
