Biography

Dread Zeppelin is an American band best known for covering the songs of Led Zeppelin in a style sung by an Elvis Presley impersonator, though their act now encompasses many other songs and other styles of music. Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant has said that Dread Zeppelin is his favorite Led Zeppelin cover band.

As of June 2006, Dread Zeppelin is touring sparingly but still releasing new material.

    I cannot believe anyone willfully subjects themself to this dreadFULL "band butchering Led Zeppelin with a TERRIBLE elvis impersonator. Hes like a tacky elvis wedding singer or some drunk asshole at karaoke night. And the "reggae" zepplin covers are just gimmicky shit. Everyone says they are great live... Probably because you were hammered at some tacky beach club when you saw them.

    you have to see Dread in person, we have seen them a few times, the best was in a barn at Cayucos, Calif. It is the most fun you will have at a concert. Great vocals and quite entertaining. they are a MUST see!!!!

    One thing I don't get about these guys (apart from the Elvis Impersonation thing) is - why is it Dread Zeppelin instead of Dred Zeppelin? That would seem a little more fitting :P
