About this album

The Fiddler’s Dream is a folk / folk-rock album originally released as an LP in 1976 by Transatlantic, catalogue number TRA 322 and featuring cover illustrations by Paul Ellis. The album was produced by Brian Harrison and recorded at Livingstone Studio, Barnet, north London, during March and April 1976. The engineer was Nic Kinsey.

All the tracks were composed by Barry Dransfield except “The Alchemist And The Pedlar” by Robin & Barry Dransfield. “The Blacksmith” is very loosely based on the folk-song of the same name.
