Gotta agree with metawirt on this album deserving more dynamic range, still, like everything else these days, I have to just have to bare with limited dynamics if I like a song.

This album is a gem. "You Lie" is just what the doctor ordered :)

Definitely agree with yakidkay...this is my first time listening to anything by Dr. John and in my ignorance i was ready to disavow The Black Keys as a stripped-down Dr. John. Lo and behold, the universe saved me from my gobsmacked conclusion. The frickin' album was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and he plays guitar on it. I think this is a full investment of soul and snazzy production that lifts Dan's music to new heights. God bless these two for collaborating, it's quite possibly my favorite album in a long, long time. Great listen.

Would be even better with a bit more dynamic range. Regrettably just poor iPod-sound as uncle Neil Young would say

This collaboration is so 'right'. A great story behind it, too. Another top album by The Doctor.

Jack White revived Loretta Lynn, Jeff Tweedy revived Mavis Staples. Now this. Yesssss.
