Dotåbåtå was conceived in Victoria, Australia in 2006. by Carey Knight.
Delving mainly in solo improvised experimental guitar & electronics works, that range from ambient shoegaze soundscapes to HNW (Harsh Noise Wall) to odd black metal, drone doom and beyond. Utilizing mostly Analogue technologies such as tapes, tubes, and various vintage audio equiptment as well as field recordings and acoustic elements to achieive an organic sound.
Dotåbåtå releases albums, in various formats on many independent labels; often splits with other underground artists.

Carey also runs Cantankerous Records with Kyle of Fuck, The Retarded Girl fame, and is a proud user of Devi Ever Effectors (Formaly Effector 13).
