    Shamelessly copied-and-pasted from MrDanny's Journal:

How many songs are in your music player at the moment?
    17,604 tracks

    Do you download music?
    what d'ya think?

    Is it legal?

How many actual cds do you own?
Pfff, no idea, really. Off the top of my head, I'd say about... well, let's see —there's 8 shelves of CDs in the living room, each shelf contains about 120 CDs, and the top three shelves are exclusively opera and/or collection boxes, so if you divide by three (an opera takes about 3 CDs) it's 40 boxes per shelf, so 5x120 + 3x20 = 600 + 120 = about 720, I'd say, give or take 5%, especially since there's about 30 more in my bedroom.

So, all in all, that would make around 750 albums, from which about 95% is classical music, and 70% (i.e., everything except the Beethoven, Maria Callas, Chopin, Liszt, Puccini, Verdi and Shostakovitch CDs) were bought by me specifically (the rest were my parents' acquisitions).
