  • 90's doldrums is a hidden jewel.
  • dude puts on a hell of a live show. the bass was physically felt and the drumming was top notch
  • ALBUM IS + + + + +
  • The new album is pretty good but you have to go and see the 'live' performance. . .full of energy and absolutely amazing!
  • Ok, updated the wiki. Mentioned all the bands with this name that I found (and that released some material) at the beginning. Then added/updated the descriptions (be sure to update further). Sorted them by the number of listeners.
  • Amazing how these new artists/bands when choosing a name don't even bother to check whether it was used before. I mean, of course there are many bands in the world with the same name, which are just unknown. But in this case, the 90s avant-garde Doldrums wasn't quite unknown. There were reviews of all their albums on Allmusic, articles in Pitchfork and NME, etc. There was quite a critical acclaim of their work. Even Piero Scaruffi wrote some good words. I'm sure the new guy makes some good music. The connection with Grimes says something. Still, a bit annoying to have his photo in the library associated to the original Doldrums. The same problem as with Skin, e.g., which we have to tag as The World of Skin. I've uploaded a picture of them (no stylish haircuts - let's start down-voting), updated the bio. I think the block about them should be returned to the beginning of the page, considering their contribution to music, but have not done this for obvious reasons.
