Tried it for the second time, couldn't even get through it in one go. And needed to hear some Overkill right after, frustration I guess...

Always was somewhat afraid to put on this album, after all the negative reviews and fan comments. Nevertheless, I am the type of person to listen to it first before having an opinion, but anyway... not until now I had the guts play it. I can so understand the fans not liking the album, hardly a typical Dokken riff to enjoy, Here I Stand is the one song, that carefully starts off in that fashion, but never picks up in the way for what they are famous for... and good at. I need to hear this more often I guess, but some how I think that is not going to happen soon. Don’t think it is a bad album, the songwriting is superb as usual in a way, the singing is as good as usual, the sound of the guitar however is completely unrecognizable, but the backing vocals top notch as expected. I am so not sure what to think yet... maybe next year another spin...

Dislikers below speaking the cliches "the worst album" for yourself, you need to subscribe IMHO. For me it's one of the most highly under-rated albums. Very conceptual and very depressive. You need to grow up to reach the understanding of that great stuff. Listen Don vocal, beck-ish phrasing of Lynch guitar, a great arrangement and mood!

Agree with BostonBruin. This album is some kind of grunge and alternative and it's not interesting to listen to. First Dokken's albums are the best. And it seems like he's coming back to his roots now.

Se você esquecer que é Dokken ele fica bom, depois de muito ouvir o album descobri que era Dokken e percebi que tinha gostado. Mas comparado aos outros DO DOKKEN realmente nao é tão bom.
