IT’S OFFICIAL - the 80s are back! Era, which single-handedly blew a hole in the ozone layer, kept us up all night with visions of Freddy Krueger, and exposed us to a whole lot of bad denim. But - it’s not the mullets that have the fascination of the modern youngsters. It’s the fun, electronic music, which dominated MTV 20 years ago, that’s quickly finding its way into the nightclubs and hipsters’ iPods today!
Smack in the middle of all this stands Xenia V. - a 26 year old Brooklyn-based, Soviet Russian-born singer/songwriter - better known by her moniker Doe Deere. Having moved to NYC at the age of 17 with dreams of becoming a musician, she paid her dues playing in rock bands before launching a successful solo project of her own. In 2007, her demo attracted attention of the Capitol producer and A&R Jimmy R Landry, who immediately sensed potential in Doe’s honey-glazed vocal delivery, laid over whimsical, throbbing electro arrangements.
EP ‘Supernatural’, produced by Landry and co-produced by Doe Deere, is a tantalizingly fresh collection of 5 radio-ready, dangerously danceable tracks that have won over a following of 5,000 fans and amassed over 75,000 profile views on MySpace. DJs from the US and Europe alike add Doe’s hook-laden tracks to their playlists.

I actually found her through her makeup company and I have to say I'm in love. I've listened to the album on repeat since I downloaded it and I love One Touch the best. Hope she gets round to producing more tracks soon!
