A hardcore alternative rock band (playing a brand of punk and metal-influenced progressive hardcore rock) from London, England with a strong underground DIY ethos.

The music is often (lazily) described as “Rage against the Machine” meets “Fugazi”, though Tool, Refused, At The Drive-In and Deftones are often mentioned as well. The band is perhaps more raw and metal-influenced than some of these artists, with a punk attitude that pervades the music, which itself has been been becoming more and more experimental and progressive over time and displays an unusually wide array of influences for what is essentially a hardcore rock band.

Politically they are progressive/leftist - anti-war, pro freedom of movement for people pro fair trade etc etc.

Their 2nd full album “Third World War: Cast The First Stone” was released in April 2007, and like their first album (“God Is White”/2004) was released by themselves independently through the label they started : GENIN RECORDS / DJEVARA MUSIC. The third album “The Rising Tide” is to be released in two parts, “Corsa Al Ribasso” (part 1) out in 2010 followed by “Hear No Evil” (part 2) released in 2011.

Though there is a characteristic sound that marks out the band, the records are quite different: ‘God Is White’ is pretty straight 90s-influenced alternative metal compared to the more progressive sound of ‘Third World War’, while the first part of “The Rising Tide” leaps fully right into experimental/post-hardcore territory.

The band have played over 450 live shows across the UK and the European continent.

Third World War is an awesome album. thought-out and intense. just great. though the reprise made me sceptical if they sympathize with the Hisbollah. but that's obviously not the case.
