Messierobjekten

After the Techno, IDM -trips of The Mental Attack, Doorchaser decided to produce a concept album as Distant Fires Burning. Where he lives he can watch the stars for hours, despite the pollution of light from the nearby city (Mechelen, Belgium). This resulted in “Messierobjekten”. Each track represents a feeling and an image. With this album the concept isn’t over yet because there are loads of other feelings and images.

This album is about bringing closer things / constellations / feelings … that are far away or seem unreachable. The Messierobjects (In Dutch: “Messierobjekten”) are constellations that are several lightyears away from us. But Charles Messier could see them through his simple aperture telescope.
