  • A disjointed album, one of my least enjoyed Dismember releases. Sounds like they tried to copy Entombed's rubbish death n roll approach, whilst still trying to be traditionally brutal. They couldn't decide what they wanted, and it all sounds so half-hearted.
  • great album for this time of year!
  • Quase perfeito \\m/
  • also comparing the melodic moments on this album to recent Kreator is insulting. at least this sounds genuine.
  • what a major drop off of quality compared to what came before it. the grooves are catchy but the songs kind of meander on forgettably and the leads aren't written in very well. it's like Wolverine Blues with the punk influence replaced by Angel Witch and Iron Maiden style melodies, and it doesn't work. Collection by Blood is the highlight and indicative of what they'd accomplish on the following lp when they fully embrace the melodies.
  • Wow, how could I have missed such stuff all these years...!? Awesome as fuck!!!
  • it's homage to warhammer 40k yes. they were/are allegedly big fans of that stuff.
  • Cover art deeply influenced by Terminator armor from 40k, if not straight out plagiarized.
  • if you especially like this album you should check out [artist]December Flower[/artist], a german melodic death metal band. they did what Dismember tried semi-successfully to do on Massive Killing Capacity. one of their songs, Where Darkness Reigns, sounds very close to On Frozen Fields.
  • I like this better than Wolverine Blues.
