Disasterpeace grew up in Staten Island, New York, banging rhythms on desks, annoying his classmates, and clacking out grooves on his molars. The dentist said he won’t have any if he keeps it up. He started messing with the geetar in high school writing heavy Drop D Jams and recording on cassette tape, before eventually moving to the computer and into electronic music. After a couple of Garageband albums, and a music degree, DP is back on the prowl.

FEZ, is probably DP's most texturally complex work to date. Structurally and melodically, it's pretty simplistic, but all that does is emphasize the fantastic harmony and atmosphere. It's great for just laying back listening to. His other stuff, while generally awesome, tends to be a lot more frantic.

@SleepyDinosaur Uematsu is mediocre and I suspect his soundtracks are horrendously overrated since all of the kids playing FF games at the time had never heard a orchestral score in a game before.

Really? It's probably my favorite thing by him so far. Every time Continuum comes on my shuffle I get a rush of emotions.

Not gonna lie, the Fez soundtrack isn't as good as his other stuff. I'm more than halfway through it and I'm getting kinda bored.

The FEZ soundtrack is otherworldly... I mean, I can't stop listening to this damn thing. I love it so much!

FEZ: 2. Puzzle

20 Apr 2012 | from www.disasterpeace.com

This track evolved out of messing around with a new instrument I picked up at the time, called Synplant by Sonic Charge. It's got a real unusual but ingenious interface... if you're into synths I highly recommend checking it out. This song is …
