Biography

Dirty Paris deserves props. They’re a young band, especially in the sense that they’re fresh to the scene and have come a long way in a relatively short time. they have quickly become one of the most talked about up-and-coming artists on this year’s festival circuit
.
What they do is an energetic, progressive mash-up of electronic jam band, songwriting, and trance-jazz ambiance – and they do it well. What really struck me about Dirty Paris is that they’re the type of band that does not manifest jams that lose your interest. A diverse palette of sounds unravel around you while Dirty Paris plays with timing, tempo, and melody, creating an electrifyingly unique sonic experience that never stops moving and transforming.

There is no easy way to describe Dirty Paris. Wherever your musical tastes take you; jazz, rock, fusion, jam, electronica – Dirty Paris will meet you there and push all of your buttons at once. You may sway, you may dance, you may lean back and let it wash over you, but you will not sit down. Dirty Paris puts you on your feet and keeps you there.

Taking influence from 70′s Progressive Rock, Cool Jazz, Trance, Songwriting, Dirty Paris has found their own unique stylistic blend. All four musicians dedicate all hours of the day for the purpose of building their psychedelic city of sound.

The audience is invited to be part of the creation as well. Vast spaces of improvisation are built into every show, allowing the music to feed and grow off the energy in the room.

Saw them tripping on acid at a Ben & Jerry's... their jams were pretty out of this world. Thanks! Just picked up your CD.
