Dio - distraught overlord is a visual kei indie band from Japan. Their sound is heavy and dark, but melodious. Their aim is to produce new music, without any stereotypes.
Although the band hasn’t been around for a very long time, they’ve become popular in Europe.
They are currently signed to Red List Entertainment.

Mikaru said on his blog that they’re quitting their current label (didn’t mention the new one) and that they’re going on an activity pause and haven’t determined when they’re going to return.

Riffs and the dynamics count, as subjective as some people's definition of "heaviness" might be. Just sayin', I do like this band too.

To Maccelicco - Their full name is Distraught Overlord, they just shortened it to Dio. They're heavier and much different than the original Dio anyways, so whatever. BTW, does anyone know if they're going major? Because I'd be sad if they are going to =/
