Dik Guru writes and performs comedy folk songs based on true stories and real situations, often involving onanism. With a hint of social comment, plenty of swearing and piss taking he’s a liability at any church fete or garden party. The instrumentation is basic:2chord guitar and a squirrel scampering over some biscuit tins. The tunes are all nicked from dead people who can’t complain. The words are all rude, and offensive to people of several nationalities. Dik has been banned from venues in and around Birmingham and the Black Country on the pub music scene and as well as charity events, local festivals and comedy nights. His most noteable gig so far was a warm up slot for Jerry Sadowitz one night in Digbeth, leading to the immediate closure of the pub on the grounds of taste and decency.
