Biography

There are at least four artists using the alias Digitalis.

1.) Digitalis is the alias of 23 year old trance music producer Rob Miller.

—-

2.) Breakbeat Goa and Psychedelic Trance producer Sebastian James “Seb” Taylor from the UK began creating mainly Goa under his alias Digitalis . Digitalis was Seb’s first project in the early 90’s. This moniker is used for his break-trance experiments in the late nineties. Seb releases under many different aliases including: Biotone, Chaos By Design, Eight:Ball, Hibernation, Kaya Project, Sebastian James Taylor, Shakta, Soma Coma, Somaton. Perhaps his most notable is Shakta. As Shakta, Seb tended to release more Downtempo Psy Trance music.

—-

3.) Digitalis is the electronic laptop project of „Oblivion“ and „Ntk“ to discover the space between sounds. Both have a long time experience with djing, producing and organising events in the electronic music scene of Switzerland.

They met in summer 2001 when they both had an individual live-act at the same event. Some weeks later they did their first performance together at the „Elektrogrill“-Open-Air, and decided to cooperate for future productions.

Due to their professional work within the digital world (Architecture / Software-engineer) they both discovered the possibilities to create soundscapes with a laptop as an instrument and the musical freedom that can be achieved with this new media.

The main interest of Digitalis is producing tracks in a professional studio-environment and perfoming live in lounge areas in combination with visuals or multimedia-installations.

Сэб нормальную музыку делает, никакая не коммерция, нормальный андеграунд выраженный в psy-tech и psy-breaks GOA проектах. Не фонтан, канешн, но в полне слушатебельно.

oh dude, clear future was amazing. i actually dig the whole concept of goa idm fuion or something of the sort. what would be the most proper way to describe it really? idk but yeah seamless transitions for an hour. impressive.

Commercial trance managed to stick even here. Leave Seb Taylor's Digitalis alone.
