Digital Explosion

Their first songs were done mainly one synth and a double deck tape recorder. The First “real” synth purchased was a Yamaha CS40m. Being only duophonic didnt mather that much. Second synth was a Sequential Circuits Pro One.
Things changed with the purchase of Ensonig ESQ-1 and a 4-track recorder. The ESQ-1 had a built-in sequencer that brought much needed flexibility to their music making. The possibilities seemed endless. Today’s technology with all the powerful computers and complex software it seems strange to think we actually were quite happy with what we had then. They do still like to work in a “simple” way. A small setup and lots of imagination.
They never thought that their music would be interesting to a bigger audience, but someone suggested to them to put songs available on mp3.com. That was in the year 2000. They chose the name Digital Explosion, becAuse they had done digital music in an explosive way. A suitable name for their music. In the beginning they placed 6 six songs and started to send messages to other artists on mp3.com and asked about their opinion of their songs. After a couple weeks, they got really ecstatic after receiving over a 100 plays. Little did we know that it was just a small step toward bigger things to come.
