Biography
Forrest Richard “Dickey” Betts (born December 12, 1943 in West Palm Beach, Florida) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, most known for his work as a founding member of the southern blues/rock group The Allman Brothers Band.
He now tours under the name Dickey Betts and Great Southern, which has recently added Dickey’s son, Duane Betts, on lead guitar.
In 2005 Betts released the live DVD “Live from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”.

I saw these guys play last night in Richmond, VA not expecting too much...I was in awe of the virtuosity of the band members! With two drummers, an organist, three guitarists, and an amazing bassist, their music was so soulful, bluesy, melodic, with a slight touch of jazz. And they played a mind blowing version of Jessica as the encore!!!
