Always reminds me of being a kid. My mom use to spin a lot of Diana Ross on 45s.

The psychedelic sound effects on this song were created with a custom oscillator designed by one of The Funk Brothers, who were session musicians for most Motown songs of the period.

After this song was recorded, the group's name was changed to Diana Ross and the Supremes, something the other Supremes were not happy about. This was their first song to be released under that name.

pogopatterson & dannyboy77: I couldn't agree more. I first heard this in the early 90s and thought it sounded like... the future. It somehow still does today.

Has got some "ahead of it's time" auditory effects for a Girl Band in 1967, don't you think?

I love the words. Play this right after The Supremes' "Together We Can Make Such Sweet Music" for aural pleasure unlike any other.
