In late 2002 things began to look bleak for Dewpoint, as close friend and drummer Brian Farris moved from New Mexico to California and Tim chose to return to school to become an X-Ray Technician and Jon moved to Utah. Jon took a break from song writing for a time, and spent time with his family and develop a new outlook on his music, as he was not really satisfied with where his talents were. Late in 2005 Jon began playing again and recorded a few tracks and made them available on the internet and recieved good reviews on each track, and decided to get Dewpoint back off the ground and a new flow of songwriting began.
